Devlog 1 - Game Jam & Mapping of ideas


Deep Dive will be the sequel to my game of the same name from the IGDB Game Jam in April 2024.

I liked the core mechanic of that game. I think it would be interesting to try to improve and expand it.

The main improvements I would like to make to the game are

  • Improve GameLoop: The Game Jam version was very short (1-2 minutes of gameplay). The idea to solve this is to have a "roguelike" gameplay with an endless loop.
  • More dynamic gameplay: Fast passed and quick movements.

I have started mapping out my ideas and toughts, the next steps are to start prototyping the game and see how the gameplay feels.
