End of Day 4! ”Boss (again!)”
Yesterday, before going to sleep, I designed 2-3 levels and a "final boss". So today it was to go through the programming of those!
The last boss, took some time as it has different states, and have a kind of simple pattern, but I'm happy with the result and is now done. I've also done the sprites, which are kind of draft, but may stay as they are depending on the time I have to refine them.
I have also been working on the UI for the umbrella, which will now show how much time you have left to glide and the cooldown time. Hopefully this will be clear and won't confuse players.
I also decided to remove player health. I think the player will be invincible and if you get it you will lose some points. So the tester will be able to see all the levels without dying. I'm making this change because this is a game jam, for a normal game I would have left a life system.
As for the levels, I've coded two new ones, but I'm not 100% happy with them and I need to do a few tunnings on them. I would have liked to finish this part, but unfortunately it will not be possible. Hopefully it will be done tomorrow.
